The Economic Affairs and Development Minister to attend the 32nd session of Governors (IFAD)  
The Minister for Economic Affairs and Development (MAED), Mr. Sidi Ould Tah said, before the 32nd session of Governors of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome on 18 and 19 February during a speech, the importance the role played by the fund in the fight against poverty, in improving food security, development

agriculture to improve the conditions of rural life in our country, thanking the President for his efforts during the last 10 years.

The Minister also indicated that the known crises in the energy, food and the financial threatened food security, noting that the financial crisis that almost turn into economic crisis challenges the world over solidarity to cope.

He also reaffirmed that least developed countries should adopt policies for more balanced development and to achieve sound development on its own resources and through good governance, fight against waste and mismanagement, stressing that the government Mauritania has adopted this way since the correction of 06 August 2008 made by the High Council of State under the President of General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Head of State.

The Minister noted that the Mauritanian government waged a war without thank you against the misuse of public funds, directing government resources to the poorest through the decrease of 25% on budget management and allocation to the capital budget for social services, expanding people's access to basic services, the creation of a national solidarity fund with $ 65 million to encourage the development, support the fight against poverty.

In this context, the Minister reiterated that the government aims to restructure currently 50,000 ha for the poor in addition to the development of the livestock sector, adding that the state still needs the help of friends to begin a overall economic development.
