President of the High Council of State, Head of State oversees the 8th edition of Chinguitti awards.  

President of the High Council of the State, Head of the State General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz oversaw Sunday, the convention center of Nouakchott, the annual Prize Chinguitti

 During this cultural event, the head of the State delivered personally to each of the five recipients, including an award of an honorary diploma, a medal and a reward of five million ouguiyas sanctioning the work they have done the areas of Islamic studies, science and technology and humanities and arts.

 The 8th edition of Chinguitti prize was attended by Prime Minister Mr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, the senate president Mr. Amadou Ba M'Barré, vice president of the National Assembly Mr. El Arbi Ould Jedeine the Members of the High Council of State, General Mohamed Ould Mohamed Cheikh Ahmed Chief of General Staff national, General Felix Négri Chief of General Staff of the National Guard,

 Colonel Ahmed Ould Bekrin Chief of General Staff of the Gendarmerie, government, the chairman and the board of the Chinguetti prizes, the diplomatic corps accredited to Nouakchott, representatives of international agencies in Mauritania, senior World of Culture and Science, the wali of Nouakchott and President of its urban community and administrative authorities and municipal Moughataa Tevragh Zeina.

 Thus the prize Chinguitti for Islamic Studies was jointly won by MM. Sheikh Ahmed Ould Mohamed Mahmoud and Al Hamd Ould Ahmed Ould El Moctar for their respective books "Islam religion of life and not religion of terrorism" and "Religion of the facility" as works in the area of preaches highlighting the values of tolerance and understanding Islam is a carrier. 

The prize Chinguitti for science and technology was awarded to Dr. Barry Aliou Hamady for his work entitled "Synthesis and characterization of molecular complex" because of the quality of its research and abundance of production in this branch of chemistry. 

The prize of literature and the arts was won by a Palestinian professor at the University of Birzeit, Dr. Asaad Mehdi for his group of work consists of five studies on the heritage of Al Quds Echerif, including two devoted to Sufi heritage and the other three science Arabic language in addition to innovative research on non-verbal communication in the Hadith of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

 The winners have the opportunity to express their joy for this high distinction that the comforts and encourages them to move forward in the research.

 They thanked the President of the High Council of State, Head of State General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz for his evident willingness and interest it attaches to the promotion and deepening of research in these areas given their importance in the cultural and scientific development of the country in general.

 It is recalled that so far the prize Cinguitt awarded 31 awards, including 12 in Islamic studies, 11 in science and technology and 8 in the humanities and arts.

 One of the highlights of the ceremony, which was opened by reading verses from the Koran, was the impact, for the first time, the national anthem in the meeting room of the convention center for similar circumstances.
